Frequently Asked Questions

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of the month and late by the 4th of each month. A 10% late fee is added on the 4th at 5 p.m.

Are rooms assigned?

No! You and your roommates will get to choose which room you want to live in! We only ask you to note your room choice on your move-in inspection.

What is an electricity overage?

Electricity overages are charged when tenants in an apartment go over the allotted $25 allowance per person. We deduct the monthly allowance per person from the bill, and any amount that is left over is split between the roommates. Overages can be paid with the next month’s rent since we typically receive our monthly bill around the 20th of the month.

Do I have to put the utilities in my name?

No! Everything is already set up in our name and ready for you at move-in!

What does a negative balance mean?

If you have a negative balance, this means you overpaid at some point and that money will be taken out of the next charge on the account. For example, if your balance is -$100, you will owe $100 less for rent the next month.

What does renewing your lease mean?

Renewing your lease means you sign a lease for the next year in the same apartment you currently have. If you do not renew your lease, you will have to move-out at the end of your lease term (usually July).

Do I have to pay the full community fee if I renew my lease?

Renewals only have to pay half of the community fee!

How close are you to campus?

We are about a 5-minute walk to GCSU campus and downtown Milledgeville.
